Drum roll please . . .

It's a BOY! It is a good thing too - Owen said he wanted a baby brother this morning. We wouldn't want to disappoint.

For the record, this little boy is Mr. Wiggles. He must take after his older brother. He started in the transverse position, quickly rotated to the breech position and then back again. It made it easy however to see that he was a boy. He waved, kicked, gave us a thumbs up, all over the place. I am now sufficiently outnumbered: three wild boys in our family. I think I deserve a trip to a day spa.

Nuclear Bombs

My parents visited Alberta on a road trip recently. While crossing back into the USA, they were stopped at the border for half-an-hour because they wanted to be certain my mom wasn't a nuclear bomb! Yes, that's right, as soon as they drove up, all sorts of nuclear detectors went off (they don't check them going into Canada) and so they had to go through a series of tests to verify there was nothing in the car or on my dad--and to identify why my mom was radioactive. Once they identified that it was medically radioactive iodine, they sent them on our way! At least those of us living in the U.S. should feel safe and well protected (or just completely annoyed).
