Baker in Training

Busted! I was making cookies (for my mom), left the room and came back to this. Two minutes is all he needed.

Pretty, Pretty Princess

Doesn't he look menacing with the mean face and pretty pink pig pajamas and ruffles?

For the record, he spent the night with cousins and didn't have any of his own pajamas. And yes, we are making cupcakes. Once again, given away.

Mr. Bear

I swear that I don't sit around all day baking and eating cakes. I do a lot of creating, but the majority of them are given away.

Owen wanted this to be a princess, but he settled for "Mr. Bear" instead. He also thought the modeling chocolate I used was poop. I convinced him otherwise and he had a few licks to make sure before Mr. Bear was out the door. Sorry recipients.

Lucky Day

A few reasons I feel LUCKY:
  • Finishing my taxes and finding out that I don't owe, but will actually be getting a refund! It literally pays to be a student. Wahoo!
  • 60+ degree weather in March and beautiful walks up the canyon.
  • I'm the mother of the infamous O-ball. Here are some of his latest and greatest:
Owen honestly thinks we can't see him. "Can't find me mommy!"

I wonder if he could be any closer to the screen. I also love that when he is concentrating, he flexes his second toe on both feet.

He'll be so glad I posted this one day, but I love this picture.

To Feel Better

Occasionally, I will get self-conscious when I tell someone the price of one of my cakes or cupcakes. Then I came across these guys:

Can you guess the price?

$69.99 for nine.

There. I don't feel so bad anymore.

BYU

In an effort to make all the BYU fans out there happy, I have an addendum to the previous post.

Although Owen might think the "U" at the end of B-Y-U is for the Utes, Sammie, my niece believes the "U" on the mountain is for B-Y-U.

Go Utes

I pulled on my BYU sweatshirt (heaven forbid!) this morning as I was getting Owen out of bed. Owen asked, "What is that?"

I pointed to the letters and said, "B-Y-U."

"No," Owen said, "Go UTES!"

His father would be so proud.
